With over 20 years of experience in environmental markets and carbon trading, Mr. von Butler is a partner and portfolio manager at Evolution Environmental Asset Management (EEAM). He has been involved in the first ever transaction of EU Allowances in 2003, and since then has traded and facilitated millions of carbon credits and allowances, helping to finance emission reduction measures all over the world.
Mr. von Butler has deep knowledge about carbon-related policy and regulatory frameworks and has advised banks, financial institutions, governments and industrial multinationals on carbon risks and opportunities. He holds master’s degrees from the Freie Universität (Berlin) and Columbia University (New York).
