Frédéric joined Carbon Pulse in 2024 as the head of the EMEA after twenty years at Euractiv, where he was editor of the energy and environment section, overseeing a team of five reporters in Brussels, Paris and Berlin. Fred held several managerial positions during his time at Euractiv and was at one point publisher in charge of supervising editorial production across the English, French and German websites, as well as the company’s IT and web department. Until 2018, Fred was also Brussels correspondent for TV channel France 24, reporting on EU and Belgian news for the French and English-language channels. A former death metal fan, Fred started his career in music journalism, which culminated with an interview of Lenny Kravitz for MCM television at the Rock Wercheter festival. But at the end of the day, he felt that reporting on politics was more fulfilling than interviewing rock stars.
