Malek Al-Chalabi is currently the Senior Carbon Pricing Policy and Advocacy Advisor at Shell and the co-chair of IETA’s Business Partnership for Market Implementation. He has held roles in Strategy, Health and Safety, and Operations and brings experience from Iraq, the Netherlands, the United Arab Emirates, and the United Kingdom. Prior to working at Shell, Malek researched, taught, and published on energy transitions at the University of Oxford, where he also completed his doctorate (D.Phil).
