Dr. Malek Al-Chalabi is the Senior Carbon Pricing Policy Advisor at Shell and the IETA Article 6 Working Group Co-Chair. In his role he leads Shell’s global efforts on carbon pricing policy across multiple trade associations, including but not limited to the International Chamber of Commerce and the Business Partnership for Market Impact. Prior to Shell, Malek researched, taught, and published on energy transitions at the University of Oxford. He holds degrees from the University of Oxford (PhD), Imperial College London (MSc), and Tufts University (BSc).
