Hanh has been working in the field of climate change since 1995 with working experience in Viet Nam, Cambodia, Lao PDR, and Germany. She was the research fellow at the International Climate Change Research Group at Hamburg Institute of Economics from 2021-2026. Hanh is the co-founder of Energy and Environment Consultancy JSC in Vietnam (VNEEC) since 2006. VNEEC is the leading company in the carbon market in Vietnam. The company has been developing, registering CDM, VCS, GS projects with more than 175 projects in the pipeline and more than seven million credits have been issued.
Hanh has strong expertise on designing carbon market, climate finance and GHG mitigation initiatives. Hanh is the team leader for a numerous advisory assignment in GHG mitigations, carbon pricing & carbon market policies, renewable energy and energy efficiency strategies, and corporations’ initiatives in pursuing low carbon development in Vietnam. Most recently she has been leading advisory activities on setting up legal and institutional framework for Article 6.2 and studies to support the government in preparing for developing the Just Energy Transition Partnership in Vietnam.
