Melanie Eddis, Partner at ERM, has more than 20 years’ experience in GHG accounting, verification, climate strategy and the carbon markets. She currently has responsibility for supporting a range of clients to design and deliver their net-zero journeys and is Integrity Lead for ERM’s new Climate Markets business.
Melanie’s experience spans a range of industries, in oil & gas, manufacturing, mining and financial sectors. For 10 years, she led the GHG verification and assurance services for ERM CVS, delivering verification /validation of more than 500 carbon crediting projects. She has been active in the development of guidelines for reporting GHG emissions, including the original GHG Protocol. Melanie led ERM’s work to develop both the GIIGNL MRV and GHG Neutral Framework and the SGE methodology for reporting carbon footprint from LNG cargoes, and in 2024 contributed to the NSCA Investor Guide Natural Climate Solutions for the Voluntary Carbon Market
