JOTZO, Frank

Frank Jotzo is Professor of environmental economics and climate change economics at the ANU Crawford School of Public Policy, where he directs the Centre for Climate and Energy Policy. He is also Head of Energy with the ANU Institute for Climate, Energy and Disaster Solutions.

Frank Jotzo leads the Australian government’s Carbon Leakage Review. He has advised national and state governments, including through formal roles in high level advisory to Ministers and in technical advisory to government departments and agencies. He has also advised international organisations and businesses. He has held lead author roles with the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change and is joint editor-in-chief of the journal Climate Policy.

His research and research leadership spans decarbonisation strategies, policy instruments for climate change and environment, economics of energy transition, trade and investment, and political economy and international dimensions of climate and energy policy.
