After joining Mitsubishi Corporation in 2010, he was in charge of mineral resource business for 8 years, and now leading Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR) business development including NextGen CDR Facility which is a groundbreaking global advance market commitment facility aiming to purchase over one million CDRs by 2025. He is a steering committee member of CCS+ Initiative which is a global, multi-stakeholder alliance to develop carbon credit methodology for CCUS and Carbon Removal projects. He is also a member of “Study Group on Preparation of Operational Environment to Ensure Proper Use of Carbon Credits toward Realizing Carbon Neutrality” hosted by Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japanese Government.
