Ellen Lourie is the Director of Natural Climate Solutions (NCS) and Aviation at IETA. As a membership association for the carbon market, IETA is the leading business voice on market-based solutions to climate change, representing over 300 business worldwide. On behalf of IETA’s global multi-sector membership, Ellen leads efforts to inform climate change policy and carbon market design to recognise the role of nature in climate mitigation strategies and the role of markets to support international aviation to meet reach net zero, focusing on CORSIA. Previously, Ellen supported activities in IETA’s North American policy work, focused on carbon market developments across Canada and the US. Before starting with IETA, Ellen worked at Ecobee supporting sustainability initiatives in their social impact team, and at Summerhill Group an environmental consultancy, on their energy efficiency programs, before completing her MSc in Climate Change, Development and Policy at the University of Sussex, UK.
