Matt Evans

Matt serves as Chairman of UpEnergy, a developer of social impact focused carbon projects in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. Matt also serves as Director of Investments at Environmental Commodity Partners where he is primarily responsible for investment and partnership origination. Previously Matt served as Managing Director of Rocky Mountain Institute subsidiary Watttime helping to build emissions reducing software for electricity users and renewables developers, and as Managing Director of Impact Carbon, launching the first Gold Standard stove projects and helping to write the first Gold Standard stove and water methodology and to launch Impact Water. Matt has also worked with Sunpower and Stanford’s Woods Institute for the Environment. Matt holds a BA in Economics and in International Relations from Stanford and an MBA from UC Berkeley.
