MCDOUGALL, Neil

Neil is the Chairman and Founder of DelAgua. Previously he was Chairman of UK listed desalination and water technology company Modern Water plc, Chairman of Mid Kent Water Group plc and Chairman and Chief Executive of Cascal Inc.

Neil qualified as a chartered accountant with PwC and spent time working in West Africa. He has maintained a lifelong interest in sub-Saharan Africa and has a passion for improving lives and living conditions in the region. He founded DelAgua with the goal, from the outset, of operating at scale and for the long term to transform the lives of millions of the world’s poorest people and benefit nature. Guided by the principles of integrity and impact, he has led the company to secure Letters of Authorization (LoAs) in three countries. To date, DelAgua has distributed 1.6 million stoves impacting over 7 million people’s lives in Rwanda, The Gambia and Sierra Leone.

Neil has extensive cross-border experience including Continental Europe, North America, the Middle/Far East and the developing world and has worked with a number of major private equity firms, banks and other financial institutions.
