Vinod Kesava is a Co-Founder, Group CEO & Managing Director of Climate
Resources Exchange International Pte Ltd and CRX CarbonBank Pte Ltd. Vinod is a
carbon market specialist and carbon market revolutionist with a track record of over
20 years in the local and international carbon markets with a deep passion for solutions
in climate change mitigation, adaptation and matters related to macro and micro socioeconomic circularity. Vinod has designed and deployed several initiatives dedicated
to carbon reductions in chemical, mechanical and efficiency technological processes
and carbon removals from nature-based solutions such as forestry, blue carbon,
agricultural practices, soil carbon and biochar. More recently, Vinod operationalised
the Electric Vehicle Accelerator (EVA) program which generates carbon assets from
the reduction in emission between switching from Internal Combustion Engines to
EVs.
Vinod’s expertise extends to local and international policymaking for climate change,
having developed and advised framework solutions for governments to apply to their
relations within local and international geo-political boundaries such as the Voluntary
Carbon Markets and Corresponding Adjustments for countries to meet their Nationally
Determined Contributions operationalised under The Paris Agreement with a view to
utilise blockchain technology in matters of accountability and traceability.
In addition, Vinod is also proficient on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals and
applies suitable SDGs to projects developed by the CRX Group, CRX’s strategic
partners and clients. Vinod’s current pursuit of excellence is for economic and social
solutions within the carbon capture storage and utilisation space. Vinod chairs the
Carbon Working Group of the Sustainable Energy Association of Singapore (SEAS)
in addition to being a SEAS Council Member chairing the Carbon Markets Committee.
He is also a methodological expert elected to the Task Force for Scaling Voluntary
Carbon Markets (TSVCM) since 2021.
