Uğur GÜREL graduated from the Environmental Engineering Department of Middle East Technical University in Türkiye. After working as an infrastructure engineer in an engineering and consulting firm, he completed his master’s degree in Global Environmental Changes and Policy at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam in the Netherlands. He is currently working as an environmental engineer in the Carbon Pricing Department of the Directorate of Climate Change of Türkiye and responsible for emission trading system, voluntary carbon market and Article 6 of the Paris Agreement.
