Location: Remote (preference for London & the South-East)
Hours: 20–25 hours per week, with flexibility to spread hours across the week; potential to increase to full time in future
Salary: £40,000–£45,000 pro rata (depending on experience and agreed hours).

Job Overview
The Marketing Manager will own and execute the marketing strategy for Carbon Forward’s portfolio of B2B events. This is a hands-on, strategic role responsible for driving delegate acquisition, sponsorship engagement, and brand visibility. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to ensure our events are industry-leading and commercially successful.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and optimise integrated marketing campaigns across digital, email, social, and partner channels to promote Carbon Forward’s events
- Lead on audience segmentation, targeting, and messaging to attract relevant delegates, sponsors, and industry stakeholders
- Work closely with content, sales, and operations to align marketing activity with event objectives and commercial targets
- Plan and manage marketing timelines, and resource allocation
- Monitor, analyse, and report on campaign performance, using data insights to refine tactics and demonstrate ROI
- Own the creation and distribution of event collateral, website copy, and promotional materials
- Help build and nurture relationships with media, industry associations, and strategic partners
- Manage event listings, PR, and media outreach to maximise visibility
- Champion Carbon Forward’s brand voice and ensure all communications are consistent, professional, and impactful
- Support the development of post-event marketing and delegate nurture programmes
Required Skills & Experience
- Demonstrable success in B2B event marketing, ideally within professional services, sustainability, or environmental sectors
- Strong track record of delivering effective multi-channel campaigns that drive audience growth and commercial outcomes
- Proficiency with marketing automation tools, CRM systems, and analytics platforms (e.g. Zoho, Mailchimp, Google Analytics, Wordpress)
- Excellent copywriting, content creation, and storytelling abilities
- Confident project manager with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Commercially minded, data-driven, and results-oriented
- Skilled at stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration
- Creative thinker with an eye for detail and a passion for impactful marketing
Desirable Attributes
- Experience in the carbon markets, environmental, or sustainability sectors
- Familiarity with event tech platforms (virtual event platforms, registration tools, etc.)
- Network within the environmental, carbon trading, or sustainability communities
