Layla is a carbon markets research associate at BloombergNEF. Her research focuses on carbon credits, the voluntary carbon market and Article 6 of the Paris Agreement. This involves helping corporations, traders and investors understand the market, and the role carbon credits play in achieving corporate net-zero targets. Layla holds an MSc in Energy Systems from the University of Oxford, and a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from the American University of Sharjah.
