Professor Wilson has driven initiatives which delivered strategic change technology ecosystems for Nobel Peace Laureates, unlocked USD$1Trillion in agribusiness, obtained multi million pound industrial research backing for a global digital economy project, established the first quality utility token to drive excellence in the global ageing sector and the Mind Shifting Frontier TechEd Accelerator delivering digital transformation analytics to under-served SMEs across the world and other industry bodies.
Professor Lisa Wilson is emphatic that we must demonstrate that carbon markets and new innovative climate finance tools can be a force for equitable and sustainable development. Professor Wilson believes we must utilise the best of collective expertise and wisdom of people, processes and technology to provide new financial instruments that eliminate the risks – perceived or otherwise – and give institutional, private, philanthropic and sovereign capital investors a trusted and confident mandate and very clear pathway to have a commercial and socio-economic gain – but with the outcome to save our planet!
In 2024, Lisa was applauded for delivering the fifth most important sustainability announcement at the World Economic Forum in Davos, calling for US$100 billion to flow unobstructed into climate programmes using new financial tools with a democratised focus that includes Africa, the Global South and the Least Developed Countries. Professor Wilson has delivered on this critical need. This includes using newly crafted and developed tools and structuring the development of the world’s first Actively Managed Certificate [AMC] with a Swiss ISIN for Investment Grade Carbon Assets in a fully regulated architecture – at a time when there is a need to channel vast institutional finance into the global challenges of climate change.
