Suhyun is a carbon market expert with over 15 years of climate consulting experience, having provided services across diverse industrial sectors including power, steel, chemicals, and automotive industries for both government and corporate clients, and currently serves as managing partner at ATR inc., a specialized international mitigation project company.
Having been involved in Korea’s Emissions Trading System (K-ETS) since its inception, she conducted research for the Ministry of Agriculture’s ETS response strategy development and managed the Ministry of Environment’s ETS pilot project, while also serving as a Non-Key Expert in the EU-Korea K-ETS cooperation project.
Building on this domestic expertise, she has expanded into international carbon market mechanisms by working on Paris Agreement Article 6 implementation strategy projects for the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Ministry of Economy and Finance, and is registered as a UNFCCC-certified technical expert for Biennial Transparency Reports (BTR).
She is currently developing mitigation projects across Asian regions including Pakistan, Cambodia, and Vietnam.
