Samar Al-Hameedi is the Vice President of Climate Change at ADNOC Group, where she leads the development and execution of the company’s integrated decarbonization strategy. Her leadership plays a critical role in aligning ADNOC’s operations with the UAE’s national climate objectives and advancing the company’s net zero efforts.

With an extensive career spanning several key leadership roles at ADNOC—including Environmental Advisor and HSE Strategy Manager—Samar has been instrumental in shaping and advancing the company’s HSE efforts. She was pivotal in establishing ADNOC’s first sustainability organization, laying the foundation for the company’s long-term sustainability governance and reporting frameworks.Samar holds a master’s degree in Chemical and Environmental Toxicology from the University of Ottawa, Canada. A recognized thought leader in sustainability, she frequently represents ADNOC at prominent industry forums. She serves on the Steering Committee of the Oil and Gas Methane Partnership 2.0, the Oil & Gas Decarbonization Charter Steering Committee, and represents the UAE in the Technical Advisory Group of the World Bank’s Global Methane and Flaring Reduction Partnership (GFMR).
