Dr. Michael Mehling is Deputy Director of the MIT Center for Energy and Environmental Policy Research (MIT CEEPR) and a Professor at the University of Strathclyde Law School. He is also a founding editor of the Carbon & Climate Review (CCLR) and a founding board member of Ecologic Institute in Washington DC, the Blockchain & Climate Institute (BCI) in London, and the European Roundtable on Climate Change and Sustainable Transition (ERCST) in Brussels. For over two decades, he has coordinated research and advisory projects on climate policy design and implementation for international organizations, government agencies, and civil society organizations in North America, Europe, and the developing world. Trained as a lawyer and admitted to the bar in the European Union, he is a German and American citizen, and has lived for extended periods in Europe, the United States, and Latin America.
