In a big year for Turkiye and its national emissions trading scheme, we return to Izmir from 7-8 May 2025 to discuss the launch of its ETS, the growth of its voluntary market, the Turkiye emissions strategy, as well as the rest of the regional and Europe-wide carbon market developments impacting utilities, big-emitting industrials, shipping, and airlines.
At our inaugural Carbon Forward Turkiye in 2024 – and Turkiye’s first ever carbon conference – we immersed ourselves in discussions about the pilot ETS to give attendees a broader understanding of the potential impact on their businesses.
Delivered in both Turkish and English, our first event in Izmir attracted 250 attendees, over 40 speakers, and 17 sponsors. They took part in discussions, workshops, networking, a Women in Carbon breakfast, and an evening reception hosted by our diamond sponsor, Garanti BBVA.
