Utkarsh Akhouri heads the MSCI Carbon Markets’ proprietary modelling of carbon market scenarios, which enables projections of demand, supply, and prices of carbon credits up to 2050.
He has over 8 years of experience in sustainable commodities across Europe and Asia Pacific. Prior to joining MSCI Carbon Markets, Utkarsh worked as an economist and a product manager for a North American compliance carbon market intelligence provider and a global voluntary carbon market rating organisation. He also spent 5 years in mining and sustainability sector, specialising in critical mineral and clean energy strategy for the European Union.
Utkarsh holds a master’s degree in Climate Finance from Imperial College London and a master’s degree in financial engineering and bachelor’s degree in mining engineering from Indian Institute of technology, Kharagpur.
