Defne Arisoy graduated with both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Environmental Engineering from Middle East Technical University. For over 25 years, she has held various positions in leading Turkish organizations, focusing on sustainability. She undertook coordination responsibilities for environmental and social compliance in terms of international financing for Turkey’s longest pipeline project. Additionally, during her tenure in both refinery and pipeline projects, she also provided guest lectures at universities.
Arisoy worked as the Environmental and Social Manager at a private equity company investing in renewable energy projects in the Sub-Saharan Africa region. She provided valuable contributions as a consultant to significant internationally financed state owned projects.
Since 2023, she has been working as the Chief Sustainability Officer of Kalyon Energy Investments Inc., one of Turkey’s leading companies in the renewable energy sector. She also actively participates as a speaker and jury member at numerous national and international sustainability platforms.
