Johan Börje has more than 30 years’ experience in international relations, technology, startups, sustainability, circular economy and energy. At Stockholm Exergi he played a key role in the company’s successful application to the first round of grants from the EU Innovation Fund, responsible for the sections on market potential, sales approach and funding of the project. He has had a leading role in securing additional funding for the company’s BECCS project, with particular focus on the Voluntary Carbon Market. In addition to engaging with corporations looking to become net-zero, Johan is a key contributor in policy work related to CDR market development, climate accounting and methodologies for certification of carbon removals. He is a Board member of the Negative Emissions Platform.
