Dr. Lokesh Chandra Dube is Senior Manager for Standards Development and Innovation at the Gold Standard, where he manages the development of standards and methods in the Energy, Land-Use, and Forestry sectors. Lokesh has 17 years of first-hand experience on climate change. Prior to joining Gold Standard, he worked in the National Communications Cell of India’s Ministry of Environment, Forest, and Climate Change. He has also served as a carbon market consultant with Emergent Ventures and a lead greenhouse gas auditor with TUV NORD.
Lokesh obtained a Ph.D. in carbon markets from the TERI School of Advanced Studies after finishing his M.Sc. in Environment Management and M.Phil. in Energy and Environment. Lokesh is a Fellow of the International Society for Tropical Ecology and a recipient of Eureka Forbs’ Aquaguard Young Scientist Award. He also serves on the UNFCCC’s Roster of Experts. He is also a member of the ICVCM Working Group and the Expert Committee on Voluntary Carbon Market, which is established by the International Financial Services Centres Authority of India.
