Associate Professor Lien Duong is at School of Accounting, Economics and Finance, Curtin University (Australia). Holding the title of Chartered Accountant, she also serves as the Vice President at the Vietnamese and Australian Scholars and Experts Association (VASEA) where she oversees their ESG portfolio. A/Prof Duong has a strong research interest in carbon accounting, GHG emissions reporting, carbon markets, ESG and energy transition. Her research has earned recognition through its publication in high-impact international journals and extensive coverage in various media outlets. Throughout her career, she has successfully secured more than $2.3 million in competitive funding from government bodies and industry stakeholders. Her most recent projects have centred on carbon accounting, carbon markets, energy transition and data governance for Vietnamese government officials representing 18 ministries and organizations. She has received several research and engagement awards from Curtin University, including the 2023 Global Award for Industry Engagement, 2022 Global Position Award, 2022 Researcher Engagement Award, and 2013 Research Performance Index Award.
