Mr. Ashok Kumar is working as Regional Representative (Asia Pacific), Regional Engagement, Legal, Policy, and Markets Department in Verra. Mr. Ashok is responsible for engaging and discussing with different stakeholders to develop of high impact and high integrity voluntary carbon market in APAC region. He conducts capacity-building activities of Stakeholders to increase understanding and adoption of Verra’s standards. Mr. Ashok represents Verra in Asia-Pacific region among the various related working groups
Mr. Ashok Kumar is a postgraduate in Energy and Environment from School of Energy and Environmental Studies (SEES, Indore, India) and having 20 years of experience in Validation & Verification of CDM, VCS and GS Project, EIA, Safety Audit, Water Audit, Energy Audit and Assurance to Sustainability Report and GHG Inventories. he worked for URS, RINA, IIT Roorkee, Verve Consulting and Ministry of Environment, forest and Climate Change. He is having working experience in countries like Viet Nam, Indonesia, China, Malaysia, Thailand, Oman and Italy.
Mr. Ashok is having extensive experience in water auditing and water conservation projects under Central Ground Water Authority, Government of India. Mr. Ashok is an accredited professional from Alliance for Water Stewardship (AWS). He is conducted training program on water audit for Indian Aviation Academy and Private Organizations.
He is a Lead Auditor for ISO 14064, ISO 14001 and completed GRI training on Sustainability Reporting. He is trained on ESG reporting by National Productivity Council, GoI.
