Heng Dean started his career with the Singapore Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA). He spent 9 years with MFA and was a First Secretary at the Singapore Embassy in Jakarta from 2005-2009. Heng Dean was with investment firm Temasek from 2011 till 2022 where he managed strategic relationships in South East Asia and supported Temasek’s investments in the region. Heng Dean also worked on sustainability and climate issues, including the setting up of GenZero, a S$5 billion investment platform wholly-owned by Temasek that focuses on carbon markets and decarbonization, where Heng Dean worked on strategy and organizational matters. From 2022 to 2023, Heng Dean was a Senior Advisor on Carbon Markets and Sustainability with an Indonesian listed palm oil company PT Triputra Agro Persada. Heng Dean has a B.Sc. in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics and an MBA from INSEAD.
