Lucy Palairet has recently joined Standard Chartered in Singapore as part of the global carbon markets development team. The team has been tasked with expanding the capabilities of the bank across both the voluntary and compliance international carbon markets, working closely with the trading and sales teams, and also transition and sustainable finance.
Lucy has a background in commodities and shipping, moving to Singapore 9 years ago from the UK as a physical oil operator with a trading house before moving to the oil tanker desk of a large multinational shipbroking firm in 2016 where she was then part of the team that established the carbon broking desk in 2020.
