Aisha Rodriguez serves as Manager – Markets & Standards at VCMI. Her role involves developing the VCMI Claims Code of Practice and supplementary documents, guiding companies on high integrity engagement in the voluntary carbon markets. Aisha led the development of the VCMI Monitoring, Reporting & Assurance Framework which offers clear directives on making Carbon Integrity Claims to showcase climate leadership.
Reporting to the Technical Director, Aisha conducts research to ensure VCMI aligns with scientific and corporate best practices. With a background in corporate sustainability, she has experience in implementing climate strategies and carbon reduction plans across diverse markets and sectors. Aisha’s background spans consulting for both private and public sectors on environmental and social sustainability.
Aisha holds a degree in Environmental Economics from the University of York and an MSc in Environmental Technology from Imperial College London. Originally from Malaysian Borneo, she has resided and worked in the UK for 14 years.
