Yutong Song is a Carbon Analyst with LSEG’s Carbon Research, where she closely follows the development of China’s ETS and voluntary market CCER, as well as broader climate change and decarbonization-related policies in China. She also monitors the development and impact of the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) or similar mechanisms globally.
Previously, she worked as a project manager in a leading carbon consultancy and as a research assistant in a national think tank on climate change strategy. She has more than 6 years of experience in China’s ETS and MRV systems and climate change policy. Yutong holds an MSc in Environment and Development from the University of Leeds. She has a strong research interest in the development of ETS in the Asia-Pacific region and decarbonization-related policies along the supply chain globally.
