Volkan Yiğit has been working on strategy development, market analysis, energy conversion, electricity price and power plant revenue forecasting in the energy market for more than ten years. In the early years of his career, he worked in project management in the construction industry, and between 2012 and 2014, he worked in the fields of strategy and market analysis in the Turkish office of the German energy company RWE. Yiğit has been working at APLUS Enerji since 2015. He was appointed as a company partner in 2019 and has been leading consultancy projects. In addition to his professional career, he is a part-time lecturer at Sabanci University teaching Data Analytics Applications in Energy Industry.
He took part in the financing, re-financing and sales (M&A) projects of the country’s important energy production portfolios and took part as a consultant in projects carried out with the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, EPİAŞ and EÜAŞ. Yiğit received his undergraduate degree from Yıldız Technical University, Department of Civil Engineering, and his master’s degree from Istanbul Technical University, Department of Energy Science and Technology. He gained experience in the field of project management at the beginning of his career and was awarded the CAPM certificate issued by the Project Management Institute in 2009 and the PMP certificate in 2013.
